Kumarakom Resort How to Reach

Arrive at Illikkalam Lake Resort, Kumarakom,Kottayam Dist,Kerala State

1) By Flight

You can come down to Kumarakom from  Nedumbassery Intl. Airport at Kochi, in Ernakulam Dist.(85Km) and also from the Trivandrum Intl. Airport (180 KM)

2) By Rail

From Ernakulam -60 KM, Alappuzha-39 KM, Cherthala-22KM, Kottayam-15 KM.

3) By Road

If you are coming from Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbattoor, Kochi  Airport, Ernakulam Rrailway Station, , Trivandrum  Air Port, Alappuzha Railway Station  &  Cherthala Railway Station then You will have to come through N H 47 to Cherthala Town  and  Refer below, 3a or 3b

By Car from Bangalore(Route One)

3a) From Vyttila Junction—National Highway 47--through Ernakulam (Kochi)

(a major junction in Ernakulam on N H 47),long toll gate across the road- 47km,Aroor- 44Km,Eramalloor- 39km,Kuthiathodu,Thravoor- 32km,Pattanakad,St.joseph public school on the right side,Kalavankodam,Thanky Junction- 23Km,Cherthala Sign board on the left side, take left turn to Cherthala Town from N H 47,this side road is just before Hotel Karthiyayini-24km,Cherthala KSRTC Bus Stand on the left side- 20Km,Thanneermukkam Mukkam Bridge across the lake Vembanad- 14Km,Bund Road Junction-11Km, Right turn to Kumarakom -  Kottayam Road,Kudavechoor,Achinakam,Kalchira Bridge,Kaipuzha Bridge-8Km,Toll Gate,Cheepungal bridge,Kavanar Bridge,

From northern side of Kumarakom

 Kumarakom Birdsanctuary-6Km ,Vivanta By Taj ,Bay Island Drift wood museum,Chakrampadi, Kumarakom Lake Resort,Pallichira Junction and the small bridge-3km,Bridge-2Km,BSNL Building & the Tower on the left side, Take Right Turn from the Main Road-2Km, proceed further then take a  sharp left turn on the side of a local small building,-Km (Don’t go straight through the bridge)proceed straight, Zuri Kumarakom the 5star deluxe Resort-1Km,Bar,turn left and right, Sign board of ILLIKKALAM Lake Resort on the right side, then turn Right and proceed straight through the small bridge.

3b) From Vyttila Junction (National Highway 47) in Ernakulam  Through Trippunithura -- Vaikom

From North-- Vyttila Junction -51km, turn left to Trippunithura-45km,Poothotta Bridge-33km,

Vaikom Temple-22Km,---Don’t go through Kottayam Road---,take half of the  Round and turn left  and proceed through the side road of the temple,

Bund Road Junction-11km, go straight, Kudavechoor,Achinakam,Kalchira Bridge,Kaipuzha Bridge-8Km,Toll  Gate,Cheepungal bridge,Kavanar Bridge,

From northern side of Kumarakom

4) Come down to Kumarakom by road  through Kottayam

From Madurai, Theni, Kumily, Thekkady (125 KM),Munnar (165 KM) and from Kottayam Railway Station, you can arrive at  Kumarakom through Kottayam,

Come to Baker Junction at Kottayam,Petrol Pump on the right side, ,(13.5Km)  proceed through the road to Kumarakom ,Cross road,go straight,Turn left,Alumoodu Junction,Turn left,Illikkal Bridge, Right Turn,Illickal Junction,(9Km)turn  right to proceed through the road to Kumarakom,Chengalam,

From Eastern side of Kumarakom

Paddy field  on the left and right of the road,Church of God in India,St.John’s Orthodox Church,Petrol Pump,Attamangalam Jacobite Church,Bridge,Kumarakom Junction,(3Km)Go straight,Bridge, State Bank of Travancore &  ATM, Leave the first   and second  turning from the SBT ATM and Turn to the third road from the main road, this turning is before the BSNL Office & it’s Tower,You can see few sign  boards of Resorts at this Junction, from this turning the distance to the Resort is 2Km, proceed further then take a  sharp left turn on the side of a  small building,-Km (Don’t go straight through the bridge)proceed straight, Zuri Kumarakom the 5star deluxe Resort -1Km,Bar,turn left and right, Sign board of ILLIKKALAM Lake Resort on the right side, then turn Right and proceed straight through the small bridge.
